Challenge
How can you develop a unique new family of kitchen tools that meets the expectations of amateur chefs worldwide? How can you further create a high quality ecosystem, that unites outstanding usability with a consistent and recognizable design language?
Result
During this collaboration with Fissler, we supported and worked on the whole process of developing the new kitchen tool series Q!
The project included the whole range from defining and positioning the envisioned product family regarding user and market needs, competitor analysis, designing, prototyping and testing the new products.
We started with initial co-creation workshops together with a global team of experts to not only define the product range but also draw inspiration. We gathered insights from observing international chefs and identified user needs and pain points. These learnings were the basis for ideation and creation of prototypes and final 3D models.
The result is a unique and premium line of 35 kitchen tools made of high end satin-finished stainless steel. Due to the seamless handles and it's outstanding functionality, the new Q! series meets professional needs. The product family was awarded with both the Red Dot and iF Awards 2014 as well as a special mention at the German Design Award 2015.
