Challenge

How might Fissler create a distinctive family of kitchen tools that meets the needs of ambitious home cooks across international markets?

The challenge was to define a coherent product ecosystem combining professional functionality, intuitive usability and a recognizable premium design language across a broad range of tools.

Result

Working closely with Fissler, I contributed to the development of the Q! series from early product strategy through to final design.

The process included market and competitor analysis, user research with international chefs, co-creation workshops, product-range definition, concept development, prototyping, testing and final 3D design. Insights from professional kitchen routines helped identify recurring usability needs and informed both the functionality and overall design language.

The result is a family of 35 kitchen tools made from satin-finished stainless steel. Seamless handles, consistent proportions and carefully resolved functional details create a coherent, durable and premium product range.

The Q! series received the Red Dot and iF Design Awards in 2014, as well as a Special Mention at the German Design Award in 2015.
